Why portland ?

なぜ、ポートランドなのか?

世界中がコロナパンデミックに陥る前、アメリカオレゴン州ポートランドを訪れました。
人の優しさ、街の空気感にとても心がリラックスしたことを覚えています。
そして、食べ物、クラフトビールが美味しい！

スーパーマーケットにはオーガニック商品が多数並び、街全体も環境に配慮していると感じました。
商品の原材料を見てもシンプルで安心できる内容のうえ、味も美味しい。

日本でも食の安全については当たり前のお話ですが、パッケージデザインや商品の独創性から、
ポートランドの人々が地元を愛し自分らしさを大切にしていることが伝わりました。

そんな商品を日本の人々に紹介し、ポートランドに興味を持ってもらいたいと思い、
この事業を立ち上げました。

Before the global coronavirus pandemic, I visited Portland, Oregon, U.S.A.
I remember feeling very relaxed due to the kindness of the people and the culture there.
And the food and the craft beer were wonderful!

The supermarkets were filled with organic products, and I felt that the city as a whole was environmentally friendly. The ingredients in the food products that I found in Portland were simple and safe, and came together to create delicious tastes.

Food safety of course matters in Japan too, but the originality of the packaging design and products in Portland showed me that the people there love their hometown and value their individuality.

I launched this business with the hope of introducing such products to the people of Japan and raising their interest in Portland.

鷲見洋子 yoko sumi

2002年に通関士試験に合格し、通関業界に転職。
複数の国際物流会社で海上輸入の通関士として活躍。
食品の輸入申告を多数担当した経験から、安全な食品の輸入に興味を抱く。

In 2002, I passed the customs broker exam and entered the customs brokerage industry. I worked for several international logistics companies as a customs broker for ship-based imports. Through my experience in handling numerous food import declarations, I developed an interest in importing safe food products.
